Epoxy Surfboard Spray Paint

Spraying epoxy is very dangerous.(not talking out epoxy base paints here) i have only seen it done with those full on bee keeper suits with hood respirators. i have never seen a non paint epoxy product ever recommended for spray. if you did it you need a paint booth.. My brother and i are building skimboards for ourselves and some friends and are unsure of what type of paint to use to dress them up. it's a self leveling bartop epoxy poured over a wooden board and cures to a high gloss. spray paint seems to bond really well but any type of water based paints scrape right off..

A combination of spray paint and paint pens gives great results. the best paint markers for painting a surfboard are posca or sharpie paint pens. it is always best to do your art on a new surfboard with a sanded matt finish that is clean from wax and grease.. Special epoxy is strong enough to withstand the forces between a surfboard fin and the fin mount. this epoxy is waterproof and capable of curing underwater. the blue-coloured epoxy on the left is still undergoing curing..
